Recently, images presumed to be of Samsung Electronics' upcoming wireless earphones, likely the Galaxy Buds 3, have been leaked. The leaked photos depict a product with a design reminiscent of the Apple AirPods, featuring what is colloquially known as the "bean sprout design," replacing the previous "bean" design.
On June 21st (local time), various IT specialized media outlets reported that images resembling the Galaxy Buds 3 were leaked through the Korean e-commerce platform Coupang. The leaked images appeared to be captures of a product page mistakenly uploaded by the digital accessory specialist, EllaGo, which has since been deleted.
The leaked images suggest that the Galaxy Buds 3 has undergone a significant design change from its predecessors. Moving away from the previous "bean" design, the addition of a stem transforms it into a "bean sprout" design, making it visually similar to Apple AirPods. However, unlike the AirPods' overall rounded curves, the Galaxy Buds 3 appears more angular with a stem that is closer to a triangular shape than a curve. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Buds 3 is evaluated to have a metallic silver color with sharper lines and angles, giving it a sleeker appearance compared to the AirPods.
In addition to the design changes, the Galaxy Buds 3 is expected to feature upgraded performance enhancements. It will include Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology, which uses microphones to detect ambient noise and generates anti-noise waves to cancel it out effectively. Other anticipated features include IP57-rated dust and water resistance, LED lighting strips known as 'Blade Lights,' a battery life of up to 24 hours, and single drivers.
Samsung Electronics plans to unveil the Galaxy Buds 3 series, along with the Galaxy Z Flip, Fold 6, Ring, and Watch 7 series, at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10th in Paris, France.
This leak offers an early glimpse into what consumers can expect from Samsung's latest in wireless earphone technology, promising both aesthetic and functional upgrades over its predecessors.
