MINI Korea has officially launched the "New MINI Cooper S 3-Door" model in the domestic market, marking a complete redesign after 10 years since 2014. This fourth-generation model continues MINI's heritage with its iconic design and go-kart feeling.
In the new MINI family lineup, the term "Cooper" no longer signifies just engine specifications but encompasses the MINI 3-Door, 5-Door, and MINI Convertible models.
The "New MINI Cooper S 3-Door" inherits core elements from the classic MINI born in 1959, reinterpreted for modern times. Its distinctive body proportions highlight a sleek surface design, presenting a sophisticated impression. The front features model-specific round headlights and an octagonal grille with emphasized contours. The rear maintains the iconic Union Jack-themed taillights.
Inside, the emphasis on minimalism retains essential elements. The toggle switches preserve only core driving functions, complemented by a 240mm diameter round OLED display at the center, creating an advanced atmosphere.
The driving performance has been enhanced significantly. It is equipped with the MINI TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum output of 204 horsepower and peak torque of 30.6 kg·m, paired with a Steptronic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds.
Advanced driver assistance features have been further strengthened to support safe and enjoyable driving. All models come standard with Driving Assistant including front collision warning, pedestrian warning, lane departure warning, Parking Assistant supporting parking and reversing assistance functions, LED headlights with high-beam assistant, 2-zone automatic air conditioning, Comfort Access, heated seats, among others.
Depending on the trim, additional advanced safety and convenience features such as Stop & Go function with Active Cruise Control, Surround View and Remote 3D View included in Parking Assistant Plus, and a panoramic glass sunroof providing a high sense of openness are added.
The New MINI Cooper S is launched as a flagship single trim, priced at 48.1 million KRW including VAT.
